Through ClickBank, vendors can sell their products, mostly digital products for instance like E-books, software, or membership programs. ClickBank has a secure order form on which customers can make purchases. It accepts credit card payments as well as PayPal payments.
ClickBank for Affiliates
ClickBank can be viewed as “heaven for affiliate marketers”
Affiliates can earn large commission percentages by promoting vendors' products. Affiliates create a referral link that is product specific as well as affiliate defined for each product they choose to promote. It is called a Hop-Link and the link will direct customers to the vendor's sales page. Should a customer then make a purchase, the affiliate is earning commission as a percentage of the sales price. The different portions of the sales price is credited by ClickBank directly to the vendor and the affiliate.

How to be successful as an affiliate?

Four very basic steps that will bring you success.
1. Establish a niche:
When you decide to set up your marketing business, the first decision that you will need to make, is for which market sector you will be catering. Call it your market niche. Your niche should be something you can easily relate to. It can be an interest that you have, a hobby or a cause that you would like to support. If you relate to your niche, it will be easy to stay focussed and motivated to market products related to your niche.
2. Create your own space:
You need to create an online space that you “own”. My number one recommendation is that you need to have your own website, registered on your own domain. Having a blog section added to your website is even better. Other spaces or platforms that you may want to use are YouTube, Facebook Business Page, Twitter, etc.
You will also need your own e-mail list. Ask any established online marketer. They will tell you: “The money is in the list” For this, an auto responder system comes in handy.
An auto responder system allows you to build lists of prospective customers to which you may choose to communicate through follow up e-mail series and / or e-mail broadcasts. There are different options available. I tried a few different options until I consolidated everything into Aweber. I found the deliverability of messages best from Aweber and once you understand the functionality of the Aweber system, it is actually easy to use.

3. Create and grow your audience:
So many new online marketers fail in this step. They try and promote directly to a “cold” market and then can’t understand that they do not get the desired success.
This is crucial.
You first have to create and build your audience, then you have to warm them up and only thereafter you promote your offer to them. This is where the importance of an auto responder system comes in.
I’m always telling new entrants in the online space to do three things.
- Build your list in numbers and;
- Build your list in relations;
- Warm up your audience by sharing high quality content with them on regular and constant intervals.
Set yourself a target of getting at least 10 new subscribers to your list per day when you start out. Then scale it up as you gain experience. 4. Promote products:
Once you have completed the previous steps and you have established trust by sharing high quality content with your audience, you can start promoting products to them.
…Tip People do not like to be told that they have to buy a product. You have to find a way to offer a product as a possible solution to a problem or a need. Tell someone “why” they need a product rather that telling them “that” they need a product.
