What is attraction marketing?

Attraction marketing is a strategy of attracting people to:
1 Yourself,
2 The solutions you have to offer them; and
3 The product/s that you have on offer and which they have a need for.
What is attraction marketing?
The following Seven Steps Of Success In Attraction Marketing will serve as a very good foundation in understanding the concept and it will assist you to easily apply it for your benefit.

STEP1.
Brand yourself as a real person.

People like to buy from people.
People rather join up with people than with companies.

Marketing is a people’s business and not a “selling products” business.
You won’t be able to reach much success when you hide behind the scenes of your online business and try and push sales to a cold market.

It is imperative that, though you are in online marketing, you have to show up, show your face and be real.
Companies may come and go. You therefore want to lead your client base to the products of companies, but you want to keep them attached to you. When your client base is attached to you, they will follow you in other offers and even to other companies in future.

People don’t care about you or your resume. Save them the impressive “Who I am”. They can’t care less. Instead, people care about themselves and what you can do for them and how you can assist them to solve their needs.

Be real, show interest and be solution orientated.

STEP2.
Establish who your audience is and know where to find them

You have to know whom it is that might have an interest in your offer. You therefore have to define your audience and know where to find them.

Talking to everybody about your offer, is like talking to no-one.
For example, the guy behind you in the checkout queue at the supermarket can’t care less about your offer which is so amazing to you. Why hassle him?
Or, for instance, imagine the success rate of promoting fresh meat to a group of vegans.

You need to get very clear on who your audience is, what their needs are and where to find them.
You have to define your niche market.

STEP 3.
Research and understand the challenges what your audience is experiencing.

Make a list of the problems, issues and challenges known in your niche market.

Research online, see what people are asking for. Visit forums, social media groups, etc.

Establish what the real struggle, problems, pains or challenges are that is experienced in general in your niche.

STEP4.
Present solutions for your audience’s challenges

Now we start getting to the actual process of attraction marketing:

When you understand who your audience (niche) is, what their issues are and you, as a real person, come forward and present them with solutions to their challenges, people will take note of you and what you have to offer them. They will evaluate your content against their issue. If they can relate to your solution and find value from it, they will definitely look out for more information from you.

It is thus imperative that you present your audience with a first offer (lead magnet) of outstanding value. It is however as important to follow this up with more value to keep their interest up.
You therefore have to create a series of high-quality and valuable content and keep a steady flow of content to your audience.

Automated systems and scheduled follow up campaigns will be of great assistance to you in this process.
Content can be created in blog posts, YouTube videos, email follow up series, Facebook page posts, e-books, free PDF downloads, cheat-sheets, etc.

But remember: your content must give your audience what THEY are looking for and what will solve their needs. You must be able to get to the point of viewing yourself as being in the “Problem Solving and Solutions Business”.

New mindset:
Look for problems, issues and struggles that others are experiencing and present them with the solution.

Step 5.
Establish ongoing positive relationships with your audience

As explained in STEP 1, it is important for you to come over as a real person to your audience. When you have successfully established a “trust relationship” with your audience, they will be open to look at the solution-products that you present to them.

Personal interaction is thus one of the success keys of attraction marketing.

Make contact with your prospects.
Make use of the communications media that is available.
  • Always follow up with an e-mail series and make sure to have your own name set up as the sender of the email.  You want people to know your name and you want them to associate your name with what they need. (The solution to their issues).
  • When you use Facebook Messenger, avoid messages like “Hi, How are you today?” to start a conversation.  Rather plug in to the conversation by saying “Hi XXFirst_NameXX, Thanks for liking my Facebook Page – or, Thanks for looking at my e-book on attraction marketing …..  just to let you know that my name is XXX and I am here to help you on your journey. Should you have any questions, send me a message, or better still please reply to one of my e-mails to you. My promise to you is that I will never bother you with spammy content. When you therefore receive communication from me, please read it as I will be sharing more valuable content with you on the subject of …... -and please look out for my next email to you where you will find information on ….. whatever the next info is that you will be sharing.  Also tell them that they can unsubscribe from your list at any time they wish.

I prefer to make personal contact with my prospects, but I will always direct them to my e-mail follow up series. The reason for this is that with a proper autoresponder system, my name can be in the inbox of the prospect as often as I want it to be. I can therefore drip relevant information to them at pre-selected intervals. My system will keep in touch with them and expand the personal relationship, even when I am asleep at night.

Messenger is just one example. You may also make use of direct phone calls, Skype, Whatsapp, or whichever media is available to you.

By contacting your prospects on a 101, personal level, you will make known to them that:
1. You are a real person.
2. You care enough to make personal contact.
3. They can trust you and you understand the issue that needs to be resolved for your prospect.
4. You are the way to the solution/s that they have been looking for.
5. You have the knowledge to direct them and they will look up to you as being their leader.
From your side, you must be sure that you are able to define the specific need of the prospect and then offer them the  correct cure.

Personal interaction is one of the success keys of attraction marketing.

STEP 6.
Make sure that your product is of real value.

Don’t get involved in high return shiny object type of products and then expect people to think that your product is by any chance the solution what they need, or that it will benefit their financial needs.

If pictures of flashy cars, sexy women, bank note rolls, pay-out tables and fake wealth are used to sell a product, I’m immediately cautious. Why is it that flashy fake representations are needed to make a product attractive? The substance and value of products should be what is of real value to the purchasers and the solution to their needs. I will much rather sell a real physical gold coin to anyone than selling a crypto mining opportunity from a company who only has a web domain and no physical business address. I will always be prepared to post a picture of myself next to anything that I promote. I have seen many MLM marketers running with a product and promote the daylight out of it, just to post a “I’m so sorry about this .. but trust me on that….” message a couple of months later. This is an example of what is giving the industry a bad reputation.

You may have put in the time to attract people to yourself and your offer and to build good relations, but once they find out that your offer is of inferior quality, you will experience attraction marketing in reverse order. Your prospects will run from you and they may even set your crop fields alight as they burn your reputation down on social media.

Only recommend products of real value to your audience

STEP 7.
You can do it.  …It’s your decision.

Your success story begins with YOU.
It’s all in the mind.

---What matter is that:
- You make a decision to be successful in building and improving your own online business.
- You have to be teachable and be able to apply your mind to what you learn.
It may be that you have to adapt to a totally different mindset than what you were used to.
- You have to be disciplined enough to follow through with what needs to be done.
- Understand and be prepared that it will be work and it will take time, but when done properly, you will reap the results.

Find problems.     ...then solve them and get paid for it.
